Aledo is the first community just west of Fort Worth with homes barely 10 minutes west of West Loop 820, or some 15 minutes to Fort Worth NAS / Carswell JRB and Lockheed-Martin facilities.  Aledo has become more desirable in recent years, including F-16 Pilots and support personnel, due to its “exemplary” rated schools and strong showing in the “king” of high school sports in Texas, Football.  With over 200 homes currently available in the Aledo ISD (Independent School District), there are a wide variety of choices—ranging from small neighborhoods to ranch property with vast acreages.

Main Street Aledo… only a few blocks and with the small town feel of yesteryear where still the periodic train brings traffic to stall, though plans are in the works that will remedy this daily pause.  You can stop by "Jorge Restaurant" and enjoy fresh Mexican food, shop at Chatel's for Texas unique items and interiors or stop by the "BearCat" cafe for a juicy, mouth watering cheeseburger and fries. Or try the "Sonic" and have a strawberry limeade.   Across the street is Aledo's second bank, Town & Country, while across the tracks and near Vandagriff Elementary School is Aledo National Bank open with additional business rental spaces.
