Azle Texas Real Estate

Azle,  Texas is located on Highway 199 approximately sixteen miles northwest of Fort Worth in the northwest corner of Tarrant County and extends into Parker County.  The first settlers moved into the area and built homes in the mid 1800s with the first post office in 1881.  Agriculture was the primary source of income.

By the late 1930s, a dam on the Trinity River forming Eagle Mountain Lake brought electricity to the area.  According to the 2000 census, Azle population had grown to near 10,000 with over 3000 homes.
